Makes me wonder why I have not done this before. I know we will have setbacks throughout the year, and some months it might be almost impossible to save anything. I am hoping that after we get our taxes back and use some of that for a deposit on a new place to live, that we can put even more money in our savings. (Anyone know of a home for rent around $600?) I also have a few items I am selling on Craigslist and I am going to put that money straight into the savings account. Hopefully with Daniel gone for a few weeks, I can find the time to go through his toys and get some of those posted to make some more extra money. Eventually I am going to try and get a site set up to sell/barter some homemade goods. Right now I am going to stick with just making them for myself and friends. (Although I will not say no to requests to make stuff now, I just do not have the time to do it the way I want too.)
What about you guys?
Very good, Natalie.. You seem to have your head on straight--and are doing the right things when it comes to saving money.
ReplyDeleteI know you miss your little boy, don't you????? He's such a cutie!!!!!
How are you feeling? AND--is your weather getting better? I hope so.
Hugs,
Betsy
Grats! Glad to see you sticking to your plan -- Was looking at ING--Good interest rate there. Was going to suggest a credit union if you were just using a regular bank account or whatever. Liberty Mutual and Member's Heritage have opened up to if you live or work in a particular zip code, and cover Lexington :)
ReplyDeleteI hopped over from Jessica at Don't Give Him Crackers.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on meeting such a chunk of your savings goal!
