After being connected to the right person in our corporate office, who could get me the material I needed, I quickly whipped my business packet in to shape.
Tomorrow is the day it begins. I start visiting all the credit unions making my presentation. I have to represent my company. And be professional. And DRESS UP. No blue jeans tomorrow :( My boss telling me they were all counting on me does nothing to help my nerves either. I am sure after the first couple I will be fine, but I am afraid in those first few I just might barf on someone. That would be REALLY professional.
Did I mention that I have NOTHING to wear. Or that my hair is horrible right now because of it's in between lengths growing outness? It never cooperates.
Oh well at least they have confidence in me that I can handle it myself instead of sending someone from our corporate office to do it. I see that promotion to branch manager within reach! WOOHOO! Payraise!
Sounds like you've got a plan. It's normal to be nervous, but once you get one or two under your belt, you'll be able to breathe more!
ReplyDeleteYou may have to shop before your meetings--for me, if I have clothes that I feel great in, I have the right confidence to pull it off. So you may need to get something new :)
ReplyDeleteAnd since they put it up to you I'm sure you can do it, you just need to muscle through that first one without puking!!!!
Good luck!
you will do wonderful i know you will
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
ReplyDeleteAnd I meant to tell you (can't comment at work - how annoying!) how much I appreciated the restaurant.com recommendation. I just used my first gift certificate at Joseph-Beth the other day!
make sure you wear a belt so your pants dont try to fall off.
ReplyDeletethat would be embarrassing
check for boogies before you get out of the car
:)
You will do just fine. Pull your hair back, if it isn't cooperating lately, or half back. Go buy a new outfit, you deserve it! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteyou will do just great !!!!!!
ReplyDeletedid you barf?
ReplyDeleteNope did not barf!
ReplyDeleteI have confidence in you, Nat... AND your company has confidence in you. You will do fine. Just be enthusiastic---and sell yourself through your packet. I know you can do it... Just smile and be yourself...
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
